WHAT IS IT?
BeatDown is a high-stakes live song competition hosted on Twitch by Charlie Queen (@CharlieChopshop). The event consists of four qualifier streams, leading up to the final showdown, known as The Coliseum of Sound.
HOW IT WORKS
QUALIFIER STREAMS

Artists submit songs for live critique and feedback during the four qualifier streams.

Songs are played and judged live as they are submitted.

The submission window lasts two hours per qualifier stream.

At the end of each round, Charlie selects his top three songs, and the audience votes on one crowd favorite.

These four winners move on to the final competition.
THE COLISEUM OF SOUND

The finalists' songs are placed into a bracket.

Songs go head-to-head, played live on stream.

Artists get a chance to plead their case to chat via Discord voice.

Chat votes for their favorite songs in each matchup.

In case of a tie, a guest judge makes the call.
-
If the final round ends in a tie, prizes are split.

Qualifiers take place on Charlie's Twitch stream for 4 consecutive Monday nights from 7p - 10p CST.

$100 Sweetwater Gift Card + 75% of Subs and Bits for the month of March and April.
RUNNER-UP
$25 Sweetwater Gift Card + 25% of Subs and Bits of March and April.

Must join and remain in the Discord for the entire competition.

Submit via Google Form (link provided in Discord).

One song per person/band/group.

No bigotry/xenophobic content... No Nazi shit.

All submissions require cover art (even just text is fine).

No generative AI music allowed.

Must be 18+ to participate.

Songs must be under 10 minutes in length.

Participant must grant a license for the song to be used in Youtube videos about the event. We will never just post your song on Youtube without it being part of a longer video about the event. We want to drive traffic to you, not steal it from you.
